Kids today grow up with technology as the major part of their life more than the kids of the generation preceding them. The new world changes at the blink of an eye and the surprising thing is that kids adapt to these “changes” rapidly that you ever expected.
Even the kids know that phones today are an amazing source of communication, entertainment and productivity. Kids are capable of doing even the most impossible things and they are capable of rocking the tech or science more efficiently and surprisingly.
Kids are not lazy but they are self-involved and have the time and zeal to spend a lot of their time exploring the gadgets that come to their hands. When fresh minds analyze & create things that otherwise would have been impossible, it’s time to accept that they have the grit to produce some of the toughest inventions with mobile technology in their hands.
Mobile Technology: A Possible Distraction?
It’s common for just anyone to get trapped in smartphones or other mobile technology applications in their hands. Technology is meant to explore and this becomes a justified unbridled passion when seen in the light of curiosity. Children are not what they earlier used to be.
It’s very common to see kids tweet, blog and text in seconds without even batting an eyelash. Aftermath of mobile Technology is not just misguiding but it’s also harmful in the first place. The digital era is clearly and unfortunately destroying the kids.
Mobile technology has given everyone a comfort of logging into cell phones and looking up for an unanswered question in Google. But this endless distraction is a real source of concern for the parents and educators.
Will the kids in future be able to finish one entire book like their parents used to do in their childhood? Will it be possible for them to sit and watch a movie without even having a look at their smartphones? These might sound like some silly questions but their answers are tricky since this is a raising concern.
Kids: Largest User Groups of Mobile Technology
We are big advocates of mobile technology and there should not be any raising eyebrows if the young representatives of the family are turning towards mobile technology in search of possibilities. Several attractive features are sure to lure the inquisitive minds who have become the largest user groups of mobile technology. However, one can’t deny about the plethora of positive sides that go with it.
Mobile technology is criticized particularly when it comes to their role in education and learning. The need for mobile technology has not been great enough to understand how this technology is designed in order to evaluate its impact worldwide.
Cell phone is invading almost all the aspect and sections of our lives. People are making use of the mobile technology to make their life simpler, faster and enjoyable. But in the process, they fail to control its rising ‘impact turned addiction’ into the lives of their children.
Kids when guided in the right direction can prove that the positives of mobile technology will outweigh its negatives on a larger scale. If kids can do the most possible things in less time, they need to be encouraged but exactly below the line of ‘addiction’.
You can realize that your kids are addicted to mobile technology and are using it blindly, when they change in their social behavior and take mobile phones to dinner tables and even in bathrooms. It’s alarming!
