TunnelEx – Stealthy New Software for Data Redirection
TunnelEx is the software for data redirection that combines features which support different data transfer protocols and allow their integration. Providing HTTP and FTP tunneling as well as a Pathfinder option, TunnelEx can send and receive information from any Internet servers bypassing firewalls and restrictions imposed by the local security policy.
This new product, developed by Palchukovsky Soft Lab, is used to gain access to any server so that neither system administrators nor employers are aware of it. The program can operate automatically choosing appropriate proxy-servers and creating tunnels to reach a necessary endpoint. With this tool it becomes possible to redirect data from one source type to another via a local network and the Internet.
TunnelEx supports a good many protocols including TCP, UDP, COM, and UPnP. Having received a request from an FTP client, the program chooses the first available FTP server and redirects data to it. This is achieved in such a way that users are unaware that TunnelEx plays an intermediary role in assuming functions of the real FTP server.
The program supports different endpoints for reading and writing so that upon receiving TCP connections it can send the traffic through the pipe and not through the TCP protocol.
With the help of HTTP tunneling it is possible to reach any prohibited external servers including those that are protected by the firewall. This version also features HTTP tunneling from a proxy cascade providing more opportunities for creation of a tunnel. This ensures that client applications from different networks will always be able to communicate with each other.
Due to the availability of the Pathfinder feature TunnelEx can automatically choose a proxy server for a HTTP tunnel. Having asked for a list of free public HTTP servers the program builds a tunnel through the first available.
Convenience of this feature is proved by the fact that users do not have to look for a server themselves although they can identify a list of preferable ones when necessary.

Price and Availability
TunnelEx supports MS Windows 7 / Vista / XP / 2008 / 2003 / 2000 and requires less than 10Mb of free disc space. A free standard version can be downloaded from http://tunnelex.net/download. TunnelEx Professional costs $25 (USD) for a single user license and supports all features apart from FTP tunneling. All features are provided with TunnelEx Enterprise for $50 (USD).
